Getting the family ready for a holiday road trip can be super stressful! At Stone’s Town Country Motors we understand and have some amazing tips for you! It will make going to Grandma’s house a lot easier!
Plan and then Plan Some More!
Not just your route, but everything. Plan your breaks, your meals, and even your bathroom stops if you can. Of course if you are traveling with little you can’t do that but if you can, do!
Keep The Kids Occupied
Bring videos, snacks, games, and even music. Making sure the kids is occupied is a must or you are going to have a miserable trip. Don’t forget extra clothes, diapers, and other necessities.
Don’t forget an emergency road kit
Bring extra blankets, batteries, flashlights, jumper cables, other tools, snacks, clothes, and anything else you can think of. That way if you are stranded you can survive.
Keep up with maintenance
It is always smart to keep your car up-to-date on oil changes and other preventative maintenance. This is especially important on a long drive, where your car may be packed to the brim with gifts, children, or both.
Hide gifts and valuables
This may seem like a no-brainer. Keeping your valuables, such as your cell phone and GPS, hidden while parking your car comes as second nature to many of us these days. But when your car is filled with even more expensive gifts, be sure to keep things hidden or tucked away. Even wrapped presents can be seen as valuable, so try covering your back seat or storage space with a blanket to further camouflage your luggage.
