Thank you Oprah!

Imagine my surprise when I went to the mailbox last week and found a box from Oprah. Inside was a full size bottle of L’Oreals new BB Cream. After I finished squealing I tried it out. I decided instead of doing a review when I was on a “Oprah sent me something” high I would try it out for a bit. For the last 6 days I tried it and I must say I like it. Not love it, but like it. It does give your face a youthful glow and it does even out your skin tone, a little. It has sunscreen which is very important. So what didn’t I like?

The coverage was sheer to light at best. Which didn’t surprise me given the fact the cream was a little runny coming out. I felt like I had to use more than I should just to get an even base. Even with using my new favorite beauty product, Smashbox Photo Finish ( thank you Test Tube Beauty). I just did not feel I got coverage and that is the most important thing when it comes to my foundation. To me it was merely a tinted moisturizer. Also, SPF15? That is way too low. I normally won’t buy anything with sunscreen in it lower than 30. I have very fair skin and I try to protect it as much as possible. Plus the having to reapply every couple hours because you sweat and it is not waterproof? No thank you. I am busy and I don’t have time to keep reapplying. ¬†However a friend did have a good suggestion. To use it as a primer. I may actually try that and see if I like it better.

Would I buy this? Absolutely not. I will stick with my Bare Minereals. I really love that product. However there are L’Oreal products I buy regularly and they are:

L’Oreal Go 360 clean deep exfoliating cleansing body scrub

L’Oreal Hydra-Renewal Moisture Cream with Pro-Vitamin B5

Those are my favorite products from L’Oreal. My advice is to try it and see if you like it. If you do or have tried it I would love to hear your thoughts below!
