I seem to always be late posting my Disney posts but sometimes I need a moment to digest what I am getting ready to post. This trailer is something I had to sit on for a few hours before I could post it. I just didn’t feel the rah-rah I usually feel and couldn’t come here squealing “OMG! Have you seen the new trailer? It is AH-MAZ-ING!” Which it was but if kind of left me unsettled.
This trailer and the one before it are very serious sounding. There are no corny jokes, or light hearted moments. In fact, it kind of makes your heart race because it seems so, what is the word I am looking for? Serious. You feel like our super hero friends are in trouble and I am not sure how I feel about that. It kind of makes me sad.
We all know that trailers are cut to make scenes look more desperate or scary but I can’t help but wonder about a couple of scenes in this trailer. Were they cut to make them look different? Why is Black Widow on a table with medical instruments. What about that touching scene with Black Widow and The Hulk? We know that she is afraid of him. She looks scared for him, or even kind of sad. Is he getting ready to do something life threatening? Why Is Thor and Iron Man fighting? That was a serious death grip he had around his throat.
I am not sure, but it seems like this movie may be a little heart wrenching and if the action scenes are any indication, we are probably in for a 2 and half hour, clutching your seat kind of ride. In other words, Marvel is about to break the box office again.
