Our last stop on the Zootopia Event was Magic Kingdom. Oh how I loved it there. If I had it to do over again I would have spent my free time on Saturday there. There is something so magical and special about Magic Kingdom. I am so grateful to have gotten the chance to go again!
I know a lot of people go for the rides but I had different plans. I wanted to meet characters and eat at Be Our Guest đ
First up was my favorite Princess in the world, Cinderella. I am a huge fan of Cinderella and the first time I met her I cried like a baby. This time though I held it together đ
During our trip to Walt Disney World we didn’t get a chance to go to Hollywood Studios. So I was super excited to visit there during the #ZootopiaEvent! It was everything I imagined and more. I will just say right now that I didn’t get as many pictures because I was so enamored with everything I kept forgetting to grab the camera, lol.
It was a beautiful sunny day when we arrived at Hollywood Studios. We had a lot of free time to enjoy the park. The first stop for me was The Dockside Diner to eat lunch! I am a southern girl at heart and had to do the Fried Chicken platter. It was full of all my faves- fried chicken, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, and yes, chocolate cake! It was delicious and a perfect start to the park!
After I had lunch I was pretty full and decided to walk it off just a bit. While walking I saw all of these cool busts of celebrities. So I had to get one with one of my favorite actors, Andy Griffith. I have some very happy memories tied to him. My grandma and I used to watch The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock together. Every time I see him I am reminded of her. So of course, I had to get a selfie!
As I continued walking I saw this poster. I know then and there I had found my people. I am a huge Star Wars fan and this made me giddy with excitement!
Awesome!! So I had to journey inside and found all of this cool stuff!
My biggest wish was to get a selfie with Darth Vader but he wasn’t in the park đ So I had to improvise đ
It also helps to have some great friends to tag a long after because I got to meet Kylo Ren with Tara and Kasandria! He was definitely in character and it was a lot of fun! Plus it made my youngest completely jealous and I earned some cool mom points!
And then I got to see these guys and it was super cool!
I had already had a day that dreams were made of but it wasn’t over yet. We met up as a group and had a fabulous dinner at the Prop Shop! It is a private venue full of all kinds of retired props from the park. It was so amazing and I had so much fun! Here are some of the neat items. As soon as I saw the Elvis record it reminded me of my Uncle. He was a HUGE Elvis fan. He would have loved that!
And of course, I couldn’t forget the food! Which was really delicious!
After that it was time with one more pic with friends.
While the desserts and the drinks were awesome, the best was yet to come. The fireworks. I am actually kind of afraid of fireworks. I don’t like the big noises, they send my anxiety into overdrive. But I can honestly say I was so taken in and enamored with these that I didn’t even think about the loud noises. I have video but only of a couple of parts. While I know I am an influencer and I should share most of my life with you I really wanted to experience these in person and not through my phone screen. So I compromised. I did some video for you guys and then enjoyed the show.
(I am not sure who was more excited, me or the guy in front of me that kept dancing. I think it was a tie!)
Don’t forget to catch Zootopia, which is in theaters now!
As you all know I had a chance to visit Disney for the #ZootopiaEvent to learn all about Disney’s newest movie, Zootopia. If you have not been to see it yet, you better hurry. It just beat out Frozen- so you know it is good!
âZootopia,â the latest animated feature from Disney, opened to a huge $73.7 million this weekend. That sum was enough to give âZootopiaâ the best debut gross in the history of Disney Animation, topping the $67.4 million that âFrozenâ banked on its initial wide weekend in November 2013. You can read my review HERE. But this post is not about Zootopia, it is about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I am not going to lie, when we went to Disney in 2006, the Animal Kingdom was our least favorite park. The girls enjoyed the animals but there wasn’t a whole lot to do. Especially not when you put it up against Epcot and Magical Kingdom. But when I visited this time, it was so much better, and if I ever get to go to Disney with my girls again, it will be the first park we visit!
The Animal Kingdom will be coming alive this summer with roaring, soaring magic into the night. The all-new Rivers Of Light waterside show premieres April 22, Earth Day. And I have a sneak peek for you!
Zootopia has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and it really doesn’t surprise me. It really is that good.
In my opinion it is the best Disney film graphic wise and maybe even story wise. The movie addresses bullying, fear mongering, and other situations that our kids today face. It will really open up the avenue for you to have several talks with your kids.
But it isn’t all “after school special”. It is super funny with jokes that kids will understand and parents will understand. It doesn’t matter if you are 5 or 105, this movie will speak to you.
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, itâs a melting pot where animals from every environment live togetherâa place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isnât so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. How to Draw Judy Hopps and Flash
To get you even more excited about Zootopia here are some videos on how to draw Flash and Judy Hopps!
First of all I want to say thank you for all the support I received over my Ginnifer Goodwin post yesterday. All of the messages were amazing and you know, I think as bloggers we forget that is okay to real and not happy all the time! It is super easy to have picture perfect lives because we think it is what attracts our readers to us. Judging by my pageviews I think being real is more attractive. I promise to try to be more real in my posts and I hope you guys will keep reading đ Also, it was wonderful to hear that so many people feel that way about everyday life, not just their job. I love you all <3
I don’t have any sad stories today, lol. Unless you want to count my stubbed toe from this morning, ouch! You guys can relate to that right? And it always happens on a mad dash to the bathroom. Why is that? It is like the universe says “haha, bathroom time but first lets dish out some friggin pain that almost makes you “not make it”. But I am pleased to let everyone know, yes, I did make it. So take that universe! What I do have is some amazing Zootopia products you must have. You are going to love this movie, I promise. It is going to make you laugh, tear up, and wish that animals were really like that. These products are going to much loved and great companions to the movie!
Aren’t these the absolute cutest!!! My youngest collects Funko Pops and she had dibs on these before I even left Florida. Your kids will love these little “big head” figurines!
When you watch the movie you will love Flash and your kids are going to want this plushie!! I have a feeling he will be an all around favorite!
