Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique ( Disney ) For Older Girls?

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

This post was originally going to be about Walt Disney World Wine Festival at Epcot until I saw a post on Facebook that made me sad. A person on my friends list stated that they were taking their daughters to Disney World and someone commented they should visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The person came back and commented “That is just for little kids.” Well I am here to say no it is not! My Daughters and I had the opportunity to visit Disney World two years ago. This was a dream vacation provided by my ex- Mother-In-Law( yes, I said Ex) and I wanted to make it a memorable one for the girls. They were 10 and 12 at the time. One of our stops was the BBB. Yes, there were a lot of little girls but my girls didn’t care. They were excited and it was such a memorable experience for them.

When we got to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique the magic began and I don’t care if you are 4 or 84 you feel the excitement. I will tell you right now I was jealous and I wanted to be in that chair too. The girls got little gift bags with an assortment of goodies including their make up and nail polish they received there ( oh yes, we did the works.) Avery had an older lady that seriously reminded me of the fair godmother from Cinderella. I just knew a magical transformation was going to take place. Avery was 10 and was at that stage where she was still a little kid but getting older. Once she got in that chair though her age didn’t matter.

Roxy was 12 ( the cut off age for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique) and in the full on I am never going to smile again, almost a teen ager mode. She got a younger “fairy godmother” and I liked to think she was in training. We was a little worried for her because Roxy has long, thick, brown hair. I was also a little worried Ms. Smartmouth would come out and complain about how stupid this was but it was totally the opposite. She loved it and had a ball.

While the Fairy Godmothers were busy doing their hair, the helpers came around and did the girls makeup plus their nails. They got little decals for their face to finish the look. When your hair and everything is done that is when the ceremony begins. The Fairy Godmother pulls out her wand, splashes you with glitter, and says some magic words, ending with “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” The newly crowned princess is then turned around so she can see how beautiful she is. I will tell you right now that I wouldn’t have traded the looks on my girls faces for nothing. It was a memory I will treasure. Just look at them! You can see the “Wow, I am so beautiful” written all over them.

When in Disney you have to forget ages, because in Disney their is no age. I rode Dumbo with glee. The kids could have cared less but I swore I would ride it. I used to watch the commercials and dream of riding on the elephant and at 36 years old I did. I met Eeyore, Pooh, Mickey, and Cinderella. I cried when I met Cinderella and didn’t care what anyone thought. If you are absolutely sure your child will hate something then by all means don’t do it. But don’t rule something out because you think it is for “little kids” especially Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If you do that you may miss a memory that you will treasure. That is what Disney is all about, the memories.

Label Daddy Giveaway

About Label Daddy

The daddies were inspired to create Label Daddy soon after becoming parents themselves. They would often hear many fellow parents complain that too much time was spent labeling and re-labeling clothes and other items that their children took to camp or school with so-called permanent markers that often faded in the wash. They realized this was the moment they had been waiting for, the opportunity to use their respective business experience to create a stylish, adorable, and extremely useful product. A product that would be easy to use, time efficient for mom, durable for dad, inexpensive for both and very personalized.

When our children inspire us is when true success in life happens!! This definitely is the case for our two Label Daddies. With their families behind them they truly believe in this product and know you will LOVE their labels as much as they do.

I got the chance to review labels from Label Daddy. I ordered 2 different label sets and unfortunately I could not take a picture because of indentifying information on the labels. We received the labels in a large, secure envelope. I ordered Disney, SilverMist school labels for my daughter and Christmas labels for the family.

SilverMist School Pack came with 130 labels including 4 zipper pulls. I loved them! They are very professional looking and Avery was estastic with them. She is so happy that she doesn’t have to have my handwriting on her stuff now.  They are very strong and washable. I loved the different sizes and was happy the pack came with so many that I had enough for everything.

Included in the package:

One bag tag

45 extra small label

30 small labels

20 medium labels

10 large labels

18 mini shoe labels

8 shoe labels

4 zipper tags!

The Christmas labels were very cute and professional looking. We can’t wait to use them on our Christmas cards! They are just the right size and very sturdy, they will definitely hold up to the Christmas rush mail.

Included in the Package:

108 Labels, 3 sheets of each style (36 of each style).

The order process was very easy. All I had to do was pick the labels I wanted, answer the questions, pick my design, and I was done. The payment process was easy as well. My order arrived in 10 days.

Disney Pixar Movies Presents: Brave

I must admit my girls think they are a little old for Disney Movies. They have moved on from the days of Princesses, much to my dismay. I think even at 37 I still hold on to some of the fairy tales. Like all teenagers before them they will go through this “I am too old for baby stuff” but at some point they will come back to it because it will bring the comfort of child hood. However, they loved the press package we received from Disney for their new movie Brave. Brave is set to be released on June 22, 2012. We are definitely going to go see it. The girls loved the trailer where she shot the arrows for her own hand. They felt that she showed true bravery by standing up for herself even though she made her mother upset.

This movie will be in 3D and just look at the pics.

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.
