I will be the first to admit I am not super crafty. Oh, how I try, though. I have tried jewelry making, crocheting, knitting, scrapping, well you name it, I tried it. But I have just never been really good at anything. I had an eye for color and design but for some reason I could never pull it together. Needless to say, my girls were not the girls that had the super cute holiday craft items at school. They would bring home all of these cute little crafty items other parents had made and I would get so jealous.

Free Crochet Pattern – #CinderellaEvent Triangle Shawl

I finally found my beautiful red carpet dress and I can’t wait to show you! Here it is:

Isn’t it beautiful! I really do feel like a princess in it. It is going to be perfect for the #CinderellaEvent! The only thing I don’t like is that my arms show. I am a little self-concious about my arms. So I thought I would make me a pretty shawl to go with it. As with any crochet pattern I decided to try it out with practice yarn before using the good yarn. I have to say I really loved how it turned out and I can’t wait to make one with the glittery silver thread I purchased!

Free Crochet Pattern of The Week- Shell Scarf

I decided to have a Free Crochet Pattern of the Week here on the blog. I love to crochet even though I suck at reading patterns. I only do small projects that are easy and quick. It helps me de-stress and wind down in the evening! I thought it would be great to share some of the crochet patterns I find with you!

If you need to learn how to crochet, check out my Learn to Crochet post and get started.

First up is the beautiful shell scarf pattern I found. It is really easy to do, works up very quickly, and makes a great gift. I used Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn in Dragonfly.

I added the pom-poms to give it more of a finished look. I am not sure who owns the pattern or if it is online because I learned how to do those many years ago. I am sure if you Google you can find one.

The pattern is by Marie Anne and can be found here- Shell Scarf Pattern

You will only need one skein of yarn, a J size Hook, large eye needle for weaving in your ends, and scissors.

The abbreviations used are:

DC = Double Crochet
SC = Single Crochet
CH = Chain

It is very easy! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Please like my Facebook page and leave me a picture of your scarf!

Happy Crocheting!
